With this and other feedback in mind, we started from scratch to create the best possible Formula steering wheel for sim racing, but like our other products, we didn't want it to be too expensive. We're happy to say we've achieved just that - meet the Forte® Formula steering wheel!Many steering wheels, whether in racing simulators or in real life, get their strength and rigidity from the front plate and grips, often in a closed design (the grips are mechanically connected at both ends). Unfortunately, this also limits them in size and design. To achieve maximum rigidity, we use an injection-molded chassis made of a composite of carbon, glass, and plastic that provides very high natural rigidity and strength, with a laser-etched forged carbon finish. This allows you to allow the user to easily change grips, add clutches and DRS paddles while not having to rely on the handlebars for strength and rigidity.The chassis is equipped with a metal spider that fixes the removable grips to the inside of the steering wheel.
